Where the players sharpen their game each week.
Next week is the last pre-season session. Training then breaks for the summer and returns in the first week of September for the 2026/27 season.
Warm layers in winter, sun cream and a hat in summer, and sports safety goggles if your child wears them.
The skills sessions behind the performances. Tap a drill to see how it works and help your child practise at home.
Players take turns striking from the penalty spot against a keeper. Builds shooting confidence and a bit of pressure practice.
Everyone dribbles a ball in the area. Coach calls Green (dribble), Amber (slow), Red (stop with a foot on the ball). Great for close control and listening.
In pairs, pass to your partner then move to a new cone or space. Teaches passing accuracy and moving after the pass instead of standing still.
Minnows dribble across the grid while one or two sharks try to kick their ball out. Lose your ball and you become a shark. Brilliant for dribbling under pressure.
Players make a small circle and pass while one or two in the middle try to intercept. Win it back and you swap in. Passing, awareness and quick decisions.
One attacker takes on one defender to a small goal. Encourages players to be brave and take defenders on. Rotate quickly so everyone stays busy.
Little cone gates scattered around the area. Players dribble through as many gates as they can in 60 seconds. Close control with the head up.
Like musical statues. Players dribble around; on the whistle they stop the ball dead under their foot. Last to stop does a silly celebration. Fun and control.
Small-sided game to finish, putting the skills into a real game. Small teams mean lots of touches for everyone.
